In October 2000, Margaret was wandering in Insadong, the arts-oriented Seoul
neighborhood, and she stumbled on this park. She decided to call it "Old
Men's Park." It was full of middle-age and older Korean men playing
paduk
(Korea's version of Go), socializing, and even getting haircuts, of all things. She also ran across this man drawing Chinese characters in calligraphy on newspaper, apparently just for the fun of it. Or maybe it was an informal how-to.
