Margaret strikes a typical Korean pose (September 2000).

Hallim Park is probably the most popular tourist trap attraction on Cheju Island. The sign makes it look like an amusement park, especially with the blue-skinned cartoon characters and Margaret doing her best Photogenic Korean Kid® imitation next to it.

However, it's really a sculpture park and garden. As an English version of their website used to say back in the early 2000s, Hallim Park "has good purpose on it, such as a forest, clean water, scenery, etc.; and also, it is the space of rest in a forest to increase the preservation of people's good health." What more could you ask for?
