Kangnung (Gangneung) is a growing city. It seems as if new businesses open up almost daily. These decorations
(which look semi-offical) usually appear for the grand openings and presumably help to bring in
customers. Ah, but business success is elusive. I shot the photo above in May of 2000. I looked for "M.BIF" four years later, hoping to have "before" and "after" shots. It was nowhere to be found. Play a verse of Taps for "Millenium Bring Into Fashion."
